ABOUT OUR REGENERATIVE MEDICINE CLINIC IN NORTH MANKATO

Since 2019, Bluetail Medical Group has been offering orthopedic regenerative medicine treatments in partnership with Mankato Clinic’s North Mankato Family Medicine practice. Dr. Crane co-founded Bluetail Medical Group in 2007, but has been practicing Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine since 2004, in fact, before the term “Regenerative Orthopedics” was even coined!  Headquartered in St. Louis, MO Bluetail is a team of physicians who are national leaders in the field of non-operative sports medicine featuring regenerative treatments that promote the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

What Regenerative Orthopedic Treatments are Offered?

Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC)

Also known as Autologous Cellular Therapy, BMC is a procedure in which your body’s OWN bone marrow stem cells are extracted and then concentrated in an FDA-cleared device and injected into the area(s) of injury or chronic joint disease using ultrasound guidance to ensure exact placement. The concentration of stem cells works directly at the site of injury or degenerative joints/tissue to decrease pain, improve mobility, and can increase the healing potential of your body up to tenfold.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP is a concentration of your platelets (a part of your blood) obtained by spinning your whole blood in a special centrifuge. Platelets are what naturally begin the healing process in your body any time an injury occurs, releasing proteins that attract your body’s own stem cells to the injured area.  The concentration of platelets in PRP allows your body to recognize the injury as a priority, thus leading to a quicker and more thorough healing process than your body is capable of doing on its own.

Who Can Benefit from Cellular Therapy and PRP?

The Regenerative Medicine treatments pioneered by BMG stimulate a natural healing response in your body with the ability to help alleviate all types of joint pain, including osteoarthritis and other degenerative conditions. They also help both athletes and weekend warriors recover faster after injuries, and help many adults avoid painful joint replacement surgeries and long recovery periods. With the goal of getting every patient back to optimal health and well-being, our physicians diagnose the source of pain, restore mobility, and improve the quality of life for every patient.

What Ailments and Conditions Does Regenerative Medicine Treat?

Orthopedic pain due to chronic conditions, such as osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease, and sports/life injuries can be treated by orthopedic regenerative medicine:

  • Osteoarthritis of the Knee, Hip, Shoulder, ankle, ect...
  • Low Back Pain
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Tennis Elbow/Golfers Elbow
  • Neck Pain
  • Carpal/Tarsal Tunnel
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries

What Type of Results Can I Expect from Regenerative Medicine?
